Project Controls Supervisor
Location: Kuwait

Summary of the Classification:

Responsible for the execution of all project controls processes and systems on EPC at-risk projects.

Principal Responsibilities:

? Under minimal supervision, will perform the more difficult and complex aspects of project control activities, ensuring that all project control activities such as project administration, change management, project estimating, cost management and schedule management are executed in a timely fashion and in accordance with all company standards and contractual requirements. May be lead position on assigned major projects.

Performs many of the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development of scope, schedule, budget and estimate to complete data for assigned tasks
• Lead in the creation of Work Breakdown Structure and development of schedules and budget data (including resource loading) for those WBS elements
• Analyzes unit rates to the extent that corrective action can be taken to minimize project losses
• Assembles and compiles schedule and cost data and inputs into the project control database and provides output to the project team
• Lead in managing and maximizing project margins

Education Required:

BS/BA in Civil, Architectural, Construction Management, Project Management, Finance, or Accounting. MS/MA in Civil, Architectural, Construction Management, Project Management, Finance, or Accounting. Professional Engineer License (Georgia), Certified Cost Engineer – AACE International or Project Manager Professional – PMI. Two (2) years experience in a related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.

Experience Required:

Typically, a minimum of five (5) years total Project Controls experience. At least two (2) years experience in planning/scheduling and cost engineering experience in an engineering and construction environment is required.

Special Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Professional Engineer License (Georgia), Certified Cost Engineer – AACE International or Project Manager Professional – PMI
• 7 years with Primavera Project Planner, 7 years with MS Word and Excel
• 5 – 7 years with MS Project, 5 – 7 years with MS Access
• Must be able to develop and maintain positive, cooperative team oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients and others in contact with the job
• Must possess an understanding of earned value (cost performance index/schedule performance index) and baseline (change) management on at-risk lump sum projects.
• Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Applications
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills
