PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Consultant facilitates the implementation and support of SAP processes, solutions and products. The Consultant assumes an active role in the implementation process and creates value for SAP customers through the effective delivery of SAP processes, solutions and products. The Consultant will be committed to maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction in each of their accounts and growing and developing reference able customers through their implementation, investigation, analysis, instruction and relationship building efforts.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Design SAP NetWeaver Basis Architectures
- Support Netweaver based solutions such as PI, MDM, Portal and BI
- Translate Functional Specifications into Designs
- Assist the Client in SAP Solution knowledge transfer and carry out end user training
- Conduct workshops with business users and core team members of clients
- Teach SAP courses in area of specialization
- Adhere to SAP standards in terms of project delivery and ensure high quality of service
- Support internal sales, product, support and education teams
- Work closely with Global Delivery Centers worldwide
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Previous work experience in the areas of SAP Basis
- Ability to present complex information to customers in a clear and appealing manner
- Familiarity with software development/implementation Methodologies
- Familiarity with SAP solutions and products
- Complementary know-how of competitive Technology solutions such as IBM
- Over 5 years of ERP/Business Technology experience and knowledge
- Over 3 years of experience in implementing and supporting SAP Technology (Basis or NetWeaver) with at least 1 with major international or regional conglomerate
- At least 3 full life-cycle end to end implementations of Basis or NetWeaver
- Knowledge/Experience of at least 1 programming language, ABAP or Java a plus
- Team Lead experience and team player
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required
- SAP Basis background, NetWeaver components a plus
- Fluency in English, Arabic a plus
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Proactive, challenging and interested in learning new solutions and business practices
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to lead others as well as learn from others
- Availability for regional or global business trips at short notice
- Personal and professional commitment to consulting way of life
- SAP IDoc, Unicode and ALE experience/knowledge
- Good knowledge and experience of other Technologies, such as IBM WebSphere
