The Role
Reporting to the CEO for Dubai this role will be responsible for the overall growth & operational performance of projects for the Dubai portfolio ensuring operational excellence whilst leading and supporting your team.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage project logistics focusing on strategic issues, while managing day-to-day operations, which may span multiple sites and teams.
• Liaise and maintain good working relations with the Project Team, Freight Forwarding, Heavy Lift Contractors / local Authorities etc. to ensure planned and timely delivery of materials to the Project Site.
• Accountable for achieving financial and quality based targets.
• Identify ways of enhancing operational efficiency by working with Agility network and vendors to ensure project requirements, timelines and milestones are adhered to.
• Conducts periodic meetings to address project and staff performance to ensure targets are achieved; periodic reporting on performance to the management.
Job Requirements:
Essentials Skills
• Project Freight & Logistics experience working predominately on Oil & Gas projects i.e. special heavy lifts / out of gauge cargo / off shore oil rig movements etc.
• Previous experience managing large / multicultural teams. i.e. 10 + staff
• Solutions Design – Logistics / Complex Movements
• International Freight Forwarding – Air, Sea & Charters (thorough knowledge)
• Hazardous Materials Handling (knowledge)
