– Technical course graduate. – Knowledgeable of different parts of a tree and its stem on cross-section. – Knowledge and understanding of operation of saw shop in sawmill. – Knowledge of the operation of grinding wheels used in saw blade and cutter maintenance in saw shop in sawmill. – Ability ti inspect used saw blades before and after servicing in saw shop in sawmill. – Ability to perform welding and brazing of saw blades using oxy/acetylene during maintenance in sawmill. – Knowledge of standards equipment, tools, materials, methods and practices of the sawmill trade. – Ability to evaluate logs and lumber in accordance with industry standards.
– Ability to assemble and build furniture, cabinets, doors, frames and cornice, etc using hand tools, refinish wooden surfaces, and knowledge of fabrics and upholstery methods. – Hands on operation of sewing machine to seam cushions and join various sections of covering materials.
– Experienced in mass production of different kinds of cabinet, doors, frames, comice, etc. – Ability to read and study blue prints, sketches and word orders to determine materials. – Knowledge of standards methods, practices, principles, tools and equipment used in carpentry trade. – Skilled in the use of tools and equipment used in the carpentry trade.
