REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION MANAGER
BUSINESS UNIT: AALC
JOB LOCATION: DUBAI, U.A.E. or any location as required by the Company
Number of vacancies: TWO
JOB PURPOSE:
To Ensure that work carried out in the Production Department is in accordance with company policies, complies with quality and safety standards; assist the Factory / Assistant Factory Manager in daily activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES of this JOB:
1. Review work orders for completeness and assist the Factory Manager in developing the Production plan by studying the overall project plan/schedule & requirements, identifying the resources (material & labor) requirements and finalizing the periodic production schedule of work for finalization by the Factory Manager.
2. Follow the Daily/Weekly Production Schedule of work, give instructions to foremen/ workmen and ensure that they follow the specified operating procedures for Jigging of Materials, stacking, Pre-Treatment, Coating, Curing, unloading & checking.
3. Coordinate with other departments (Technical, Procurement, Glass, Stores, Quality and Projects) to get the required information/action in order to proceed according to the production plan as per schedule and in line with project requirements, approved work order/drawing, quality and safety standards.
4. Ensure that all materials required to start production are available at stores and follow-up with procurement department all pending material deliveries required prior to processing to ensure efficient and timely processing.
5. Coordinate with foremen on any deviations from approved drawings and ensure approved corrective measures are applied as and when required, to achieve the approved quality standards.
6. Ensure that all quality related requirements for the products are fulfilled in coordination with quality department during production and are timely dispatched to project site.
7. Responsible for the implementation of the organization’s Safety policies and procedures and to ensure safe working conditions and actions at all times.
8. Develop Plant Maintenance Schedule in coordination with maintenance engineer and follow-up routine maintenance.
9. Monitor attendance of workers, recommend leave or overtime, and maintain discipline and good relationship with all workers; Participate in performance appraisal and identification of Training Needs Assessment.
10. Compile Daily Production Report; Identify issues, reasons and steps taken etc. and forward to Factory Manager for review.
COMUNICATIONS REQUIRED:
Technical & Projects departments: Frequent coordination relating to the change in specification, drawings, schedule, etc.
Procurement department: Frequent coordination for material procurement.
Stores & Glass Department: Frequent coordination for material & glass availability.
Quality Department: Frequent coordination fro quality issues.
Colleagues & sub-ordinates: Frequent for the satisfactory execution of the works.
Factory Manager / Management: Daily/Weekly/Monthly Production progress reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED.
· Mechanical Engineering Degree / Diploma with 5 years experience in a process/construction industry preferably in Aluminium fabrication in a similar capacity.
· Computer Literate
· Should be flexible, highly energetic and hard-working with an open-minded approach towards the job.
· Good communications with negotiation skills
· Leadership qualities to influence production team for best results
· Exhibit engineering problem solving abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits:
Probation: Six (6) months
Nature of Position: Permanent
Monthly Salary Package: Payable in AED – to be negotiated at time of interview.
