JOB TITLE: STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
DEPARTMENT: TECHNICAL
REPORTS TO: SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
BUSINESS UNIT: AALC
JOB LOCATION: DUBAI, U.A.E. or any location as required by the Company
Number of vacancies: Two
JOB PURPOSE:
Structural Design of Aluminum, Glass, steel and other architectural metal works for projects to be in line with overall project plan
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES of this JOB:
Review architectural and structural drawings and propose structural elements and fixation as per the project requirement for design shop drawings.
Submit Structural analysis and calculation in proper manner for approval
Review structural engineers calculations and correct as required
Review shop drawings for structural adequacy to make sure shop drawings are done according to structural analysis prepared and submitted.
Responsible for engineering saving by doing optimized designs
Maintain soft and hard copies of records of all calculations submitted, approved
Attend project meetings as required to clarify structural issues
IMPORTANT FEATURES OF THIS JOB:
Interaction with Consultants and Main Contractor for Structural design issues.
In-house design / supervision works are planned and organized in coordination with Senior Structural Engineer
COMUNICATIONS REQUIRED:
Daily meeting with Senior Structural Engineer for advice/approvals
AUTHORITY AND REPONSIBILITY TO SOLVE PROBLEMS AND MAKE DECISIONS:
Frequent Technical queries and construction related issues from contractors are replied based on Design and previous projects experience.
Review the variation items and assist the manager in taking decision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED.
Civil Engineering / Mechanical / Structural Engineering Graduate
3 years experience as Structural Engineer in Engineering Design Office
Knowledge of latest Engineering Software’s like StaadPro, AutoCAD , MS Excel etc
Good communication/inter personnel skills and leadership qualities
Benefits:
Probation: Six (6) months
Nature of Position: Permanent
Monthly Salary Package: Payable in AED – to be negotiated at time of interview.
Accommodation: included in the salary package.
Local Transport Allowance: included in the salary package
Joining Air Ticket: Provided
Annual Bonus: At discretion of the company
Annual Leave: 30 days paid annual leave with return air tickets once every year for self, spouse + 2 children below age of 18 years.
