JOB LOCATION: DUBAI, U.A.E. or any location as required by the Company
Number of vacancies: Three
JOB PURPOSE:
To manage & prepare the detailed engineering drawings for our scope of work in proper for further use by production and installation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES of this JOB:
To set up curtain walling, doors and windows constructions related to the project, in accordance with architectural concept drawings, contract / specification and bill of quantity.
Make sure structural checks done for all necessary components. (Glass, Aluminium Mullions, Transoms, Brackets etc).
To ensure that the approvals of drawings and sample materials obtained as specified/approved within the time scale of the programme.
Responsible for pre-ordering of materials in co-ordination with Sr. Designer (i.e. releasing the related information to Purchase Dept.) In time to meet the programme.
Leadership & Manage the team members in a professional level, allocation of work to team members, necessary guide lines to them in drafting, and maintaining the quality.
Issuing the approved drawings/information to related areas, in time, as per programme.
Identify additional work/variations to the Technical Manager /Sr. Designer for processing/approval of Variation Order by the Project Manager.
Attend design meetings, team meetings and co-ordination meeting, and as well as prepare notes for records and pass information to the team.
Take necessary measures / implement correctives steps as per quality department requirements.
Maintain discipline with the team, and find ways to improve the quality productivity and performance of his team.
Leading small group of three to four draftsmen, and motivating them to achieve objectives of the company.
IMPORTANT FEATURES OF THIS JOB:
The job holder manages Draftsman/designer team, identifying the requirements of items and deadlines to complete target specified activities in the project schedule.
Planning requires microscopic detailed study of a project, accuracy and precision are utmost important and critical for successful completion of a project with in the budget.
As a result of complexity and diversity of projects there is a lot of stress in the job including time pressures, coordination and handling conflicting priority issues
COMUNICATIONS REQUIRED:
Internal
Internal communications on daily basis with peers in other departments
like Sr. Designer, Production, Project Managers to meet deadlines of a
project on a timely basis.
External
Maintain an interface with valued clients on quality issues.
AUTHORITY AND REPONSIBILITY TO SOLVE PROBLEMS AND MAKE DECISIONS:
Provide a wide range of solutions, for complex issues; alterations in specification of items, quality of produced items etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED.
Holding a Bachelors Degree/Diploma/ITI Degree, preferably in Design or Architecture.
With 5+ years of technical experience in Aluminium Curtain walling Unitized / Stick system.
AUTO CAD latest working knowledge.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits:
Probation: Six (6) months
Nature of Position: Permanent
Monthly Salary Package: Payable in AED – to be negotiated at time of interview.
Accommodation: included in the salary package.
Local Transport Allowance: included in the salary package
Joining Air Ticket: Provided
Annual Bonus: At discretion of the company
