JOB LOCATION: DUBAI, U.A.E. or any location as required by the Company

JOB PURPOSE:
To Manage and supervise the detailed engineering drawings for Aluminium curtain walling, glazing & cladding in proper for further use by production and installation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES of this JOB:
The Senior Designer is responsible for reviewing the accuracy of the following:
-Study project and assist Technical Manager with design concept in accordance with contract specification, standards, contract drawings, BOQ & within the project cost.
- Assist and Guide Design Team and the Design Team Leaders in the preparation of conceptual Plan, Elevation, Section, Schedule, shop drawing details & As-Built Drawings.
-Review of Shop Drawings proposed during conceptual design stage before presenting them to Technical Manager for approval.
-Check material submittals/samples for approval as per system Design and project requirements in consultation with Technical Manager.
-Review and verify correctness & completeness of Material allocation records before authorization of Technical Manager.
-Check Indent to stores for production & Site against Material allocation before authorization.
-Review Glass specification (size, color, thickness etc) before issuing glass work order.
-Review and verify correctness of glass cutting list before authorization
Review and verify correctness of all drawing details, specification, quantity, dimensions etc of glass work order before authorization.
-Verify drawings, details and specification complies with structural requirements in coordination with Sr. Structural Engineer.
-Guide and Manage Design Team Leaders in all technical aspects from preparation of conceptual design drawings to submissions of AS-Built drawings.
IMPORTANT FEATURES OF THIS JOB:
· The job holder manager Draftsman/designer team, identifying the requirements of items and deadlines to complete target specified activities in the project schedule.
· Planning requires microscopic detailed study of a project, accuracy and precision are utmost important and critical for successful completion of a project with in the budget.
· As a result of complexity and diversity of projects there is a lot of stress in the job including time pressures, coordination and handling conflicting priority issues.
COMUNICATIONS REQUIRED:
External:
· Maintain an interface with valued clients on quality issues.
Internal:
· Internal communications on daily basis with peers in other departments like Sr. Designer, Production, Project Managers to meet deadlines of a project on a timely basis.
AUTHORITY AND REPONSIBILITY TO SOLVE PROBLEMS AND MAKE DECISIONS:
Provide a wide range of solutions, for complex issues; alterations in specification of items, quality of produced items etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED.
Bachelors of Civil Engineering with 7+ years of technical and planning experience in Aluminium Curtain walling Unitized / Stick system, Cladding, skylight, entrance Canopy, hand railing, doors & windows construction related to the projects.
AUTO CAD latest working knowledge.
Proven track record of planning a project and dealing with conflicting priority issues.
Management and Leadership skills
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
