Sr. IP Backbone Engineer

Summary:
We are looking for a highly energetic and creative person to be one of our Sr. IP Backbone Engineers here in Afghan Wireless Communications Company.
Responsibilities:
1. Will work in a converged voice and data network, responsibilities include focus on network architecture, installation and maintenance, network security and infrastructure administration / troubleshooting (i.e. router, switch, IPS/IDS, firewall, VoIP, LAN/WAN, wireless), day to day maintenance and support as required.
2. Works with Technical Services staff managing day to day network operations.
3. Work with systems administrators to implement network resource access controls.
4. Evaluate technologies to architect and implement a fault-tolerant, highly available local and wide area network environment to support Mobile Operator’s enterprise systems.
5. Design and deploy mobile operator’s company LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, switches, Firewall, and other hardware Configuration and monitoring of a VLAN segmented LAN configuration.
6. Implementation and maintenance of QoS/CoS for enterprise LAN/WAN conversed network.
7. Implementation and maintaining BGP multi-homing for service provider network.
8. Optimization of routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP) in service provider network.
9. Implementation and Optimization for MPLS VPN, LSP/VRF, MPLS QoS, MPLS TE, MPLS AToM.
10. Implementation and maintaining Psedowire TDMoIP gateway/Circuit Emulation over Packet Switched Network (CEoPSN) terminology in IP/MPLS network.
11. Implementation and maintaining in high availability network architecture by using Cisco NSF/SSO/HSRP/VRRP/GLBP for service provider network.
12. Monitor network utilization, identify and resolve bottlenecks.
13. Manage, monitor and maintain security & remote access devices (VMS, IDS, VPN concentrator, PIX firewall, Cisco NAC appliance server etc.
14. Adhere to and enforce corporate policies regarding network security and corporate resources.
15. Implementation of network security, intrusion detection, and firewall configuration and management.
16. Implementation of Cisco NMS tools (Cisco Works, Cisco MARS, Cisco QPM, Cisco Security Manager, Cisco IP solution center) best practices for utilization and performance tuning methodologies.
17. Maintenance of Linux/Unix based services (Mail, DNS, DHCP, IPTABLES, FTP, WEB SERVER, NTP, MRTG, SYSLOG).
18. Maintenance of Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP, Active Directory and other Microsoft technologies.
19. Implementation and maintenance of content filtering and anti-spam technologies for large network.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor/Master of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
2. Minimum of 7 (seven) years hands-on experience in converged networking and security.
3. CCIE Certification must (R&S or SP Written & Lab).
4. Strong experience with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS.
5. Strong experience with Cisco 12000 Series Routers.
6. Strong experience with Network Security Infrastructure including Cisco PIX/ASA/FWSM Firewall, Cisco IPS/IDSM-2, IPSec VPN.
7. Strong knowledge of Cisco Voice Gateways, SIP/H.323/MGCP.
8. Strong experience with QoS/CoS design, implementation and reporting on Enterprise network.
9. In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix network platform.
