San Francisco office seeks an associate with 2-3 years of experience in general litigation matters, preferably with experience drafting legal briefs and discovery/dispositive motions, arguing discovery or non-dispositive motions, taking/defending depositions and case management conferences.

This highly successful, full-service firm, located in San Francisco, California, is best known for its very solid Litigation department. The Business department, though relatively weak, is actively seeking to add attorneys, particularly to the Real Estate/Land Use group. The firms boasts a notably high retention rate. The work environment is ""laid back"" and the firm prides itself on its supportive and collegial atmosphere. Salaries are competitive with other major law firms. The minimum billable requirement is only 1850 hours and bonuses begin at 2000 hours. Moreover, the firm recently committed itself to devoting 3-5 percent of its attorneys' time to pro bono work. ""I defy anyone to find anything wrong with this firm; sure we work hard when necessary, but the pay is great and the firm is incredibly supportive.
