Intellectual Property Attorney

Silicon Valley office seeks intellectual property associate having prior experience with all activities associated with prosecution of patents, from initial interviews with clients to drafting of applications, responding to Office Actions, and conducting Examiner interviews at the patent office. The candidate will focus primarily on IP Litigation matters but will also include some portion of their time supporting Patent Prosecution practice as well. Primary litigation responsibilities include: preparing pleadings and discovery requests and responses; taking and defending depositions; and preparing claim charts on validity and infringement issues. Must also be familiar with document production procedures, including electronic discovery. Effectively being able to manage both a litigation and prosecution docket with multiple clients and deadlines is essential. An Electrical Engineering degree (Physics as well) and a background or substantial experience with circuits will be required. Must already be a member of the CA Bar and registered to practice before the USPTO.
