Responsibilities and Requirements : By using gases naturally present in the atmosphere, Air Liquide separates and purifies them into oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and various rare gases and then distributes them to clientele by pipeline, compression, cylinders, or in some cases, produced directly on a clients site. Air Liquide also uses other natural resources of gas to produce other gases caused by chemical reaction for their clients usage (hydrogen, carbon dioxide, acetylene, helium, ozone, carbon monoxide). Air Liquide Large Industries US is actively seeking an Electric Energy Optimization Manager to be located in Houston, Texas. The individual will perform (but not be limited to) the following responsibilities Manage nominations and scheduling for all Power contracts for all the AL plants. Reduce power imbalance costs by optimizing daily scheduling in line with AL risk strategies. Purchase and sell short-term daily (BS or equivalent Degree in Engineering Minimum (5) years experience in the physical and financial power transmission and generation business Theoretical/practical business and financial knowledge generally associated with an MBA or comparable experience a plus Ability to analyze data and develop commercial and financial strategies Expertise or working knowledge of electric and natural gas industry In depth knowledge of customers and current target markets Free-thinking, innovative, and adaptable attitude toward solutions Have functioned in a highly decentralized team environment with minimal internal structure and extensive flexibility Have formalized business relationships and projects through the written contract supported by strong negotiation and sales skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills for dealing with internal and external groups Ability to travel on a limited basis.
