Responsibilities : This hands-on position is ideal for marketers who like to manage all phases of a project from inception to completion in a deadline-driven, results-oriented and budget-conscious environment.Specifically s/he will be responsible toWork with Marketing Team and Corporate Product Marketing team to create and manage a strategic marketing plan for Blackboard Learn and Connect solutions sold in the K-12 market.Work with Campaign Lead to develop go-to-market plans for promotion of solutions and thought leadership publicationsDrive product and solution messaging to support demand generation programsLead strategy and execution for thought leadership initiatives to strengthen brand awareness and trustDrive creation of internal and external communications related to promoting products and services.Interface with clients to identify trends in online learning that help position demand generation effortsResearch K-12 market trends and requirements and target buying process to support product roadmap, positioning and marketing/sales material developmentResearch federal funding options and distill into marketing/sales materialWork closely with the sales team to identify marketing mechanisms to support their efforts.
Requirements :Required SkillsAbility to balance strategic planning with tactical executionDemonstrated experience managing and authoring communicationsAbility to work in a team-oriented, dynamic, entrepreneurial organization, as a leader, team member or individual contributor.Demonstrated leadership skills, communication, analytical and problem solving skills, and short term and long term planning skills.Strong project management and coordination skills; and ability to excel in a fluid, cross-functional team environment.Ability to translate market and client needs into business requirements and client benefits.Bachelors degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience5-8 years of marketing experience in the education and/or technology industry.3-5 years experience in product, channel or segment marketing.
