Responsibilities and Requirements : Under general direction the Transplant Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the movement ofpatients through all phases of the transplantation process. Primary responsibilities include patienteducation, pre and post transplant; coordinating the recipient evaluations; followingthe post-transplant patients in the hospital and the clinic. Responsible for conducting professionalas well as public education presentations on the subject of transplantation, and to maintain goodrelationships with cardiologists in our service area in order to promote increasedpatient referrals. Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibilityin maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.Ability to work independently in a stressful environment·Decision making aptitude and problem solving skills·Must be diplomatic in dealing with different levels of personnel·Clear concise communication skills both oral and written·Manage time effectively and work independently·Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task·Basic computer skills.
