Position Description:
We need a Software Architect who has a passion for delivering high quality software. As such he/she needs to have a proven track record of creating high quality components while at the same time maintaining oversight of an entire solution in a distributed group. Significant experience in complex mathematical event management with data mining is expected. He/she must be highly adept at analyzing software requirements and be able to assist Principal Engineers to create quality high-level solutions.
The Software Architect will be expected to lead detailed design discussions with other team members and to ensure decisions are documented appropriately. It is the responsibility of the engineer to make sure code is developed in accordance with all key design decisions and to review any deviations. He/she will be responsible for enforcing coding standards and best practices and for conducting appropriate code reviews. He/she must be highly proactive when addressing issues that risk delaying their development team; such as questions concerning requirements, technical matters or anything else. It is expected that the Software Architect will be extremely involved with the coordination of build and deployment procedures, including creating the necessary documentation and working with Configuration Management.
Job Requirements:
• 4 - 5+ years working with the Microsoft technology, including extensive experience using C# .Net, 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0
• Write code using C# and other Microsoft technologies to build components for solutions/products.
• Hands-on experience in relational database design and development, preferable SQL Server
• 1 - 2+ years leading the technical delivery of solutions through complete delivery lifecycles
• Extensive experience of an enterprise SDLC e.g. Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, UP
• Extremely conversant with core math processing
• Working knowledge complex event management and event processing
• Experience in parallel threading and data mining highly desirable
• Experience writing shrink-wrapped thick-client applications using WinForms; experience using WPF will be an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or degree/work equivalent
• Excellent written and oral communications Required
