Business Development Manager

Pink Elephant – a leader in IT consulting and education - seeks a dynamic, responsible and self-motivated individual to fill the role of Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager’s main focus will be to support regional sales activities by being a contributing member of the business development team. In this role, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for sales; as Pink Elephant is looking to strengthen its presence in the Hong Kong market. However, you will also need some marketing savvy to help develop new business opportunities within all Pink Elephant service lines.
Responsibilities include:
• Develop media relations strategies to support sales and business objectives
• Contribute to developing strategies and executing plans to increase customer relations and attract new businesses
• Selling long and short term In-House Education to customers by telephone and email
• Actively cross selling other Pink Elephant services (consulting, conferences, public education, ATLAS)
• Maintaining regular contact with targeted customers to solidify Pink Elephant as a business partner
• Writing proposals and responding to RFI’s and RFP’s for mainly In-House Education Services
• Maintaining accurate sales pipeline information on Company’s information systems
• Contributing to the development of weekly sales management reports
This position requires the ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment. The successful candidate should have:
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced / Higher/ Graduate Diploma, Business Studies/Administration/ Management, Marketing or equivalent.
• Required Language(s): Chinese, English
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Preferably Managers specializing in marketing/Business Development or equivalent
• Full time position Available
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Understanding of Customer Service Best Practices
• Ability to travel on occasion (e.g. Trade Shows)
This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills as well as a solid understanding of the IT marketplace. Flexibility and professionalism are strong assets.
