Position Overview
We are looking for a creative and strategically minded individual who has experience working with consumer brands leveraging social networking tools and managing online communities. The candidate must have demonstrated deep social media expertise and experience growing and nurturing online communities. In addition the candidate must be able to develop end to end social marketing strategies leveraging different social platforms, devising ways to build consumer groundswell/participation and new innovations in social marketing and advertising. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of building digital media campaigns in social platforms and must be experienced in leveraging Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, location-based-marketing, YouTube, and other technologies as part of a digital marketing mix. The candidate must also be able to develop plans that demonstrate how owned, paid, and earned media fit together as part of the overall marketing strategy.
Responsibilities
Create and execute a comprehensive amplified word of mouth marketing strategy.
Develop and manage social media campaign strategies
Engage in social channels and partner with the social media channels manager to increase advocacy and loyalty in the branded channel communities.
Become an active community advocate in social media channels, engaging in dialogue and answering questions where appropriate.
Develop a comprehensive knowledge of trends and emerging technologies in the social media space. Experiment with and recommend alternative ways to leverage social media to the advantage of our customers, programs and values.
Partner with the PR teams to drive event activation, sustain campaign word of mouth and recruit advocates.
Requirements
Passion for online / technology products and services
Bachelors Degree required
3-5 yrs. experience in Social Media, Digital Marketing, Community Management or PR
3-5 years of program leader or project management experience
Some team or individual leadership experience preferred
Advanced knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
Experience in using social listening tools such as Radian 6, Nielson Buzz Metrics and Visible Technologies
High intellectual curiosity, drive, determination, self-confidence and persuasion skills
