Project Manager - Decor & Design
at Exotic in United Arab Emirates
A fast growing Decor & Design company is looking for a Project Manager for it above mentioned division. The ideal candidate should have strong communication, analytical and negotiable skills.
Responsibilities
Understand the Design, décor, fabrication and general Build Business in Dubai and the UAE
Build divisions of the business with Fabrication, paint and maintenance services being core components
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Estimate material requirements and costs, and present design to client for approval.
Advise client on designing factors, such as space planning, layout and utilization of raw material, furniture and equipment, and color coordination.
Formulate environmental plan to be practical, esthetic, and conducive to intended purposes, such as raising productivity or selling merchandise.
Attend tender reviews to negotiate quotations with suppliers and contractors, in order to ensure quality work is achieved at best possible rate and within the assigned project budget and time frames.
Works closely with Project Directors and other internal team members to meet overall project objectives.
Knowledge
Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the designing of raw material
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Ability
Oral Expression -- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
Oral Comprehension -- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Skills
2-5 years of experience in Design & Fabrication
Graduate degree required
In-depth knowledge of retail design, fabrication, materials, maintenance
Must be a hard working and able to operate effectively in a very fast-moving environment
Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and creatively
Honest, open and straight talking people preferred
Strong prioritization, organization and analytic skills
Teamwork skills essential; open to change and new ideas; sense of humor preferred
You should be optimistic, ambitious, enthusiastic and self-confident.
Highly energetic, flexible and dynamic person with good communication skills.
Flexible in timings
