Principal Structural Engineer @ Singapore
at Hanisah (Anywhere)
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed engineering and design calculations including analysis of structures
- Prepare design reports and construction procedures and carries out design verification through single discipline check / IDC
- Monitor scope change and raises change orders to the project
- Interface with all disciplines to develop a clash free design
- Interface with Client and other agencies on their review and approval
- Ensure structural engineering integrity of the assigned work area
- Complete the work within budget and schedule and raises changes orders for scope change
- Review project scope of work, specifications and deliverables and raise technical queries to maintain preferred McDermott practices and operational requirements
- Supervise and guide the assigned engineers, drafting squad leader and weight control engineer
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to the team
- Provide guidance on preparing structural general arrangements, basic schemes for fabrication and installation
- Prepare/review design analysis, calculations and procedures for discipline deliverables such as analysis of structures for in-service and pre-service conditions
- Detailed steelwork design
- Review and approve all detailed drawings ensuring technical correctness, professional presentation and that fabrication and installation requirements are satisfied
- Review multi-discipline deliverables, vendor data and provides comments to ensure all interfaces are detailed clash free
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- 15- 20yrs experience in the same field
