Logistics Clerk
at Camfil Farr Middle East in United Arab Emirates
A logistics clerk should have the knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Logistics and Supply Chain Management.Responsible for performing routine clerical duties such as maintaining letters, memoranda, invoices, and other indexed records arranged in a file according to an established system. A logistics clerk spends most of the day preparing domestic or international shipping documents. A logistics clerk performs administrative tasks to support the Finance department.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional customer service by developing good working relationships with the customers.
• Interacts with inside sales and territorial sales personnel to proactively handle the customer shipment.
• Control on Logistic part of any sales orders.
• Data entry and updates to domestic and international shipping manifests are among the tasks.
• Make all necessary phone calls to customers regarding delivery times, merchandise, etc.
• Port, customs and export/import documentation and up to date with all legislation regarding JAFZA rules Experience
• Troubleshoots customer delivery problems; daily tracking of delivery details, issues, and mistakes.
• Communicates with freight forwarders, third-party warehousing and transportation companies.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the logistics department preferably in a trading Industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
• Communications skills - interpersonal, verbal, written, telephone.
• Ability to function in a team-based environment and must be capable of working in a changing environment, must be detail-oriented, well-organized and able to multi-task.
• Customer service/interaction skills & experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team and provide assistance when necessary.
• Strong aptitude towards Mathematics and Statistics.
• Competent analytical and interpretation skills.
