CKMNT is a time-bound project partially sponsored by Nano Mission of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India and operated by the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) in Hyderabad. It was established on 1st April 2009 and the project tenure is five years (i.e., upto April 2014).
CKMNT’s Objective: The setting up of CKMNT was driven by the increasing need for an institutionalized knowledge management framework capable of creating, maintaining, categorizing and analyzing the vast nanoscience and nanotechnology related data resulting from the explosive growth in knowledge being generated and information being shared. CKMNT has set for itself the ambitious goal of becoming the one-stop information resource centre for the entire “nano” community and be a window to the
rapid progress that is taking place in the field. Consistent with this goal, CKMNT seeks to offer a host of services that would appropriately meet the diverse requirements of researchers, industries, policy makers, financial institutions and venture capitalists with a stake in “nano” and thus help in fulfilling the objectives of DST’s NANO MISSION.
