PROJECT ENGINEER – TECHNICAL -Aluminum Works

JOB SPECIFICATION – PROJECT ENGINEER – TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT
•Technical Coordination During Execution
oPropose emergency technical solutions whenever needed on site and follow up their applications.
oEnsure the coherence of the chosen technical solution.
oPrepare the technical reports and follow up the daily and weekly progress reports.
oKeep track of the project operations and evolutions.
oFollow up and collaborate with the Projects Manager and project planner with regards to the establishment of the sequence of work.
oEnsure the efficiency of efforts and the continuity of works.
oManage the technical variations and modifications during operations.
oFollow up the transmittals and submittals of documents.
oFacilitate the document exchange and monitor the document control.
oPreparation of method statements relating to the project activities particularly those that are not design-sensitive in nature.
oMake sure one is acquainted with the designer’s work and proposed technical solutions to ensure correct execution.
oKeeping track of the modifications made on the design and drawings.
oFollowing up with the surveyors with regards to the as built drawing.
oMonitor field changes and the right application of the design modification
•Communication
oAttending meetings with consultant engineers for the discussions and approval of designs.
oEnsure the contact with the client or client representative.
oRepresent the department in project and regular meetings.
•Follow up
oAssisting the operations department with technical support and all design related issues.
oKeeping track of project programs and the design phases budgets.
oFollow up on quality controllers.
